Lamb chops charring on a grill over an open wood fire

Cooking over wood on Hill Road since 2023.

A wood-fire grill and bar in Bandra West. A clay tandoor, a long open grill, and a bar that stays open until 1 am.

Two fires and no gas on the line.

We cook over babul and mango wood, in a clay tandoor and on a four-metre grill that runs the length of the kitchen.

Chef Rohan Mehra spent eight years in kitchens in Delhi and Goa before opening here in 2023. The menu sticks to what fire does well: meat and fish marinated overnight, vegetables blistered on the coals, and breads slapped onto the tandoor wall when you order them.

Masalas are ground every afternoon. Fish comes in from Sassoon Dock each morning, and the menu changes with the catch.

The tandoor runs at about 480°C, so a naan takes around ninety seconds. The raan sits in the dying embers for twelve hours overnight. The ten seats at the counter face the grill, and we keep them for walk-ins.

The dining room at night, lit by candles

The room

Sixty seats across the dining room and the bar, lit mostly by candles and the grill. It gets loud after nine.

If you’d like a quieter table, ask for one of the booths by the window when you book. Valet parking starts at 7 pm.

Book a table

We take bookings up to 60 days ahead and hold tables for 15 minutes. The counter is kept for walk-ins.

For nine or more, or for the Oak Room, call us on +91 98200 41736.

We’ll text you to confirm. Running late? Call us and we’ll hold the table a little longer.
